Hitch Tracker

Privacy policy

Last updated October 6, 2026

Draft. Hitch Tracker hasn't launched yet. This policy will be reviewed before launch.

Hitch Tracker is run by 1795367 Alberta Ltd. in Alberta, Canada. This page explains what we collect, why, and who can see it. We follow Canada's privacy law (PIPEDA) and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act.

The short version

What we collect

Where it's stored

If you don't sign in, everything stays on your phone. If you sign in to sync, your data, photos and uploaded forms are stored with Cloudflare, which runs the servers for Hitch Tracker. They're encrypted with a key that's kept apart from the data, so a copy of the stored files on its own can't be read. Cloudflare may store data outside Canada, including in the United States.

Receipt and form reading

When you use automatic receipt reading, or add your own form, the photo or file is sent to Anthropic's AI service to read the store, date, GST and total. Anthropic processes it to return the details it finds. Under its commercial terms, it doesn't use that data to train its models. We don't send anything else with the photo.

Who can see your information

How long we keep it

We keep synced data while your account is open. If you delete your account, we delete your synced data and photos within 30 days. Billing records are kept as long as Canadian tax law requires. You can leave the launch list at any time, and we'll delete your email.
